A quiet Sunday morning in March 1965. Two teams of surgeons set up in adjoining operating theatres in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in suburban Adelaide. Foundation staff member Bill Proudman’s memoir is an insight into the evolution of a medical institution and the personalities who shaped the hospital’s character.
